The park rangers at Lake Red Rock would like to remind the public about camping and boating safety during the 4th of July Holiday.

Park Ranger Tracy Spry says to obey posted rules about campfires.

“We would like people to keep them in the rings that are provided, keep them small, and keep them contained–no bonfires, that way they are better controlled, ” she says. Spry adds to make sure kids are well supervised around any fires as well.

Spry says it’s important to be patient at all campgrounds and boat ramps, especially with additional people out at the lake to enjoy the holiday.
