At approximately 7:30 Tuesday morning first responders were called to the scene of a dump truck that had crashed in a field next to Highway 5 south of the Bussey stub.

It’s not clear if the vehicle rolled or merely didn’t make the curve. The driver was injured, and was transported to a local hospital with possible head injuries and lacerations. Bussey Fire and Rescue, Pella Ambulance, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.
