In class 2A region 7 action tonight, the Pleasantville Trojan softball team will begin postseason play against the team that ended their season in this same round a year ago, the Lions of Des Moines Christian.

The Lions come into the game with a 17-12 record and have won four of their last five games, the only loss coming to Van Meter. The Trojans come in hitting well at the plate, averaging 7.5 runs per game over their last eight games, going 6-2 in those contests. First pitch in Urbandale is scheduled for 5:30pm tonight.
