Knoxville City Council member Craig Kelley has resigned, citing health concerns.

Kelley was appointed to the council after former council member Dave Roozeboom resigned in December of 2015. Knoxville City manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS he appreciates Kelley’s “willingness to step in as a vacancy appointment, and his contributions to the City in a time of transition. His experience and insights will be missed, and we wish him the best with his health moving forward.” The council will next meet July 17 to discuss options to fill the open position, among other matters.
