Leading from start to finish and only needing only four innings, the PCM softball team took out Chariton 12-0 last night in first round regional play.
Kayla Jennings surrendered no hits to the Chargers striking out five and picking up the win. Offensively PCM had patient at bats that led to a lot of baserunners via the walk, while Anna Shaver and Courtney Bridges did the most damage, each going 2-3 with a double and a pair of RBI. PCM advances to play Solon on the road on Friday to continue their postseason journey.
The PCM baseball team also had a good pitching performance, winning 9-5 over Lynnville-Sully. Braden Phifer struck out 10 over 5 ⅓ innings to pick up the win, while Noah Clark had three hits on the night, with Ryan Hill getting a double and a homerun on the night.
