With just over a month till the 57th Annual Knoxville Nationals the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce is in search of volunteers to work in the paid parking area at Youngs Park.
Volunteers are needed from Wednesday through Saturday during the week of Nationals. Currently the chamber has openings in two hour shifts starting at 10am to help park cars in pre-paid, reserved spots and also, weather-permitting, grass parking. Director of Communications for the chamber Ben Butler tells KNIA/KRLS News residents can go to the chamber website and fill out a form or simply contact the chamber office which is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteer duties include checking in visitors that have reserved spots, directing race fans to their reserved spots or to the next grass spot, monitoring the reserved spots, giving directions and being friendly to visitors.
