This week’s racing at the Knoxville Raceway may have a little more following than most because of one person, Tony Stewart. The Three Time NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Champion and car owner of nine-time Knoxville Nationals Champion Donny Schatz announced earlier this week he would drive a 360, he then announced later on that he would come running a 410 for tonight’s action. Stewart has not raced in a sprint car at Knoxville since 2011 and has been running more sprint car shows across the nation since stepping away from his NASCAR ride. Stewart sill co-owns three Monster Energy Cup teams and one Xfinity Series car. As far as the weekly drivers, the 410 points may see a shift at the top. With Brian Brown racing elsewhere tonight, Ian Madsen has a chance to take a hefty lead into a non-points night next week when several of the top 410 drivers will be away for the Kings Royal at Eldora. The 360s and 305s will also be racing tonight. You can hear the action beginning with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com.
