Paperwork is now available for any Knoxville resident interested in joining the Knoxville School Board.

Currently the school district will have four school board positions up for reelection as apart of the September 12th election. Two positions are for two year terms which are currently held by Vickie Reed and Dawn Rankin. The other two positions are for four year terms currently held by Mike Moates and Andrew Schmidt. Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News anyone who is interested in being a candidate for the school board can stop by the school administration building now and pick up the paperwork needed to get their name on the ballot. The paperwork will need to be returned by August 3rd if individuals wish to have their name added to the ballot. Pearson says once the district receives the paperwork they will forward it to the Marion County Auditor’s Office to have information verified. Once everything is verified, candidates will see their names on the September 12th ballot.
