Today we continue the countdown of the Top 10 sports stories of the 2016-2017 school year at Pleasantville High School with number eight.

One year after falling to rival Mount Ayr in a close game at home 14-24, the Trojan football team once again hosted the Raiders in a district game at home with revenge on their mind. Undefeated on the season at that point, Pleasantville boasted a defense that had only given up three touchdowns in district play, and an offense that was averaging 35 points per game. The Trojans got four touchdowns from Hunter Tyree, one rushing, one recieving, and two special teams on a punt return and a kick return en route to a 40-0 win. The Trojans ended their season a 8-2.
