The deadline for paperwork to be submitted for anyone interested in running for public school boards is Thursday, August 3rd.

The Knoxville School District will have four positions up for reelection on September 12th. Two positions are for two year terms and two other positions for four year terms will all be on the ballot. Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News interested individuals have until 5 p.m. on August 3rd to have their paperwork submitted. Paperwork can be submitted at the Marion County Courthouse or at the Knoxville School Administration building which will stay open until 5 p.m. the evening of August 3rd to receive the paperwork. Pearson says once the district receives the paperwork they will forward it to the Marion County Auditor’s Office to have information verified. Once everything is verified, school board candidates will see their names on the September 12th ballot.
