Around 100 drivers from across the nation and the world will try to become champion of the 27th Annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Nationals starting tonight at the Knoxville Raceway. Unlike the 410 nationals next week, the 360 Nationals will have several drivers who could be the winner on Saturday. Some of the early favorites are Lucas Oil A-S-C-S Driver Aaron Reutzel who tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it is all about that first two laps of your qualifying night whether or not you are in contention or working from behind. Other drivers who could find themselves in victory lane on Saturday are Sam Hafertepe Jr, past champions Brian Brown, and Terry McCarl, plus local driver Ian Madsen, who already has a win at Knoxville in a 360 this season. Another local driver to keep an eye on is Pleasantville’s Sawyer Phillips. He has won twice in weekly competition and tells KNIA/KRLS Sports a top five would be something that he would love to see. Some drivers running tonight will be, Danny Lasoski, defending champion Sammy Swindell, Former NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart, and local drivers Joe Beaver, and Calvin Landis. You can hear the action beginning with Live Track Side at five and Race Night’s Live at seven on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com.
