The Knoxville Rotary Club held their weekly meeting on Wednesday and surprised long time member Abie Davis.

The club took time to celebrate Davis’s 50 years as a Rotary Club member. Davis tells KNIA/KRLS News out of the million things the Rotary has done, one of his highlights was contributing to the abolishment of polio. Davis says to continue as a Rotarian means he’s still got tomorrow to look forward to and he gets to continue to associate with members and enjoy their companionship and comradery. Davis had his family by his side as he was presented with a celebratory cake as well as new member pin and a rotarian hat.
