With the fall sports season quickly approaching, the push is on to get as much of the construction work done on the athletic facilities at Pella High School.

Athletic Director Dale Otte says that work is coming along nicely, and he’s excited about what the improvements are going to mean for their fans.

“Our fans are going to be able to come through an east entrance and not have a big drywall wall in front of them to access the gym. We’re also excited for them to see our new commons and some of the new facilities that we have.”

One of those new facilities is a dedicated concession stand just outside of the gym in the school’s new lunch room.

Parking has also been improved, and while Otte says that there is still likely to be too few spaces on a football Friday night, there will be more spaces than in the past.
