The Knights of Columbus in Pella have announced the winners of the team challenge as part of the Knights of Columbus Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.
As part of the group’s fundraising efforts, athletes from Pella and Pella Christian competed to raise the most money for the two districts’ special education departments, the Christian Opportunity Center, and Special Olympics.
Between Pella and Pella Chrisitan, more than $4700 was raised for those groups, with the Pella Lady Dutch Soccer team raising the most at $1387.56, followed by Pella Cross Country Team at 1213.14 and the Eagles’ football team at $1073.88. Members of the Pella Christian volleyball, Pella boys soccer, Lady Dutch softball, and Pella football teams all participated.
