A win tomorrow night by the Pella High football team would move the Little Dutch up another rung on state’s all-time winning streak list.

The Little Dutch have won 42 in a row, which is tied for seventh all-time with Solon’s 2007-2010 streak.

Iowa City Regina tops the chart with a 56 game winning streak from 2010 to 2014.

While Pella is tied for seventh all-time, four of the state’s longest streaks are from the non-playoff era of Iowa high school football.

In the modern era, which started with the implementation of the playoff system in 1971, Pella and Solon are tied for the fourth longest winning streak, and the Little Dutch could move to third with a win tomorrow night.

Pella will travel to Dallas Center-Grimes for a non-district matchup with the Mustangs.
