In what is quickly becoming a familiar tune, the Pella High girls cross country team blew out the competition last night at the Grinnell Invitational.

The Lady Dutch placed six runners in the top 16 and scored 41 points, well ahead of the host Tigers’ runner-up score of 74. Knoxville finished ninth.

Sophomore Caroline McMartin once again paced Pella, finishing fourth in a time of 20:32. Annika Pingel and Ashley Blommers were right behind in sixth and seventh.

On the boys side, Grinnell won the title, with Pella seventh and Knoxville 12th. Senior Thomas Gauley had a fourth place showing for the Little Dutch.
