The Knoxville High School held their grand re-opening of their recently renovated gymnasium Tuesday evening.

A ceremony was held just prior to the start of the varsity volleyball game in which the school gave thanks to everyone who contributed to the renovation. Knoxville High School Activities Directory Ryan Rump tells KNIA/KRLS News the gym floor was stripped and repainted for the first time in 20 years and the school added new scoreboards and a new panther mural. During the event the Knoxville Boosters gave away free popcorn and the Knoxville Alumni Association gave away free cookies and free t-shirts throughout the evening. The Knoxville High School Pep Band also performed. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio was on hand playing music and making announcements.
