A Knoxville man was arrested Tuesday for burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony.
Reece Johnson, 23, of Knoxville was arrested following an incident in which Johnson is alleged to have entered a garage at a Knoxville residence and taken concrete tiles. According to court documents just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 10th, police responded to the report of a suspicious male. Upon arrival at the scene officers witnessed Johnson walking down the driveway of the residence carrying several concrete tiles. Johnson told officers he saw the tile in front of the garage and was moving it so no one would steal them. Johnson placed the tile in the middle of the driveway where he told officers he had found them. Johnson was released. Then at approximately 5:45 p.m. the owner of the residence called police and told them someone had entered into his garage. The victim told police the tiles had been inside the garage and were moved outside. The victim stated he wanted to pursue charges. Upon further investigation a witness was located who stated seeing Johnson exiting the garage with the concrete tiles. Johnson was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.
