The National Weather Service is aiming to simplify the way they present winter weather watches and warnings.
Meteorologist in Charge of the National Weather Service Des Moines Office Jeff Johnson tells KNIA/KRLS News they are eliminating some of the watches and advisories issued as they caused some confusion when winter storms approached. Johnson says they work with KNIA/KRLS to provide updates and coverage of winter storms as they approach the area.
