The Pella Christian volleyball team travels to Grinnell tonight to take on third-ranked Grundy Center with a berth at the class 2A state tournament at stake.

The Eagles bring a 21-15 mark into the contest, while the Spartans are a sparkling 35-6.

Pella Christian coach John Evenhouse knows that his team will have to play well tonight to have a chance to advance to Cedar Rapids.

“They’re a very solid team and they will hit the ball. We need to block and we need to play defense. We’ve been a little vulnerable with that this year, but we plan to pick it up and really go after them. We always feel that we can score, but you’ve got to be able to get the ball to your setter in order to score. We’re going to give it a good try and see what we can do.”

Action starts tonight at 7:00 at Grinnell High School.
