Just after 8 a.m. Friday morning a two vehicle accident occurred north of Pleasantville on the northbound lanes of Highway 5 and Business 5.

A semi pulled out in front of a pickup truck towing a trailer causing the pickup to rear end the semi. The driver of the pickup was assessed by first responders with no life threatening injuries. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasantville Emergency Services and the Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.
