With the Knoxville City Council Election coming on Tuesday, three candidates will wait to see how the vote turns out.

Dylan Morse, Megan Suhr and Jason Everly are running for the two vacant city council positions.

Jason Everly, 33, is a Knoxville native who spent time in the military after high school before returning home in 2010. Everly tells KNIA/KRLS News after he returned home he saw a changed town that he says he didn’t like. Everly says since then he has been trying to join the city council to help make changes to bring the city back to what he remembers.

Everly says he is just an ordinary person who isn’t a part of any big organizations in town beside the Chamber of Commerce. He says he is here for the people of Knoxville and wants to unify the town and bring it back to what it used to be. Everly says he wants residents to be able to go out, have a good time and enjoy talking to each other again.
