On May 1st the Knoxville City Council approved the appointment of Megan Suhr as a new council member.

Suhr has been involved in and has voted on many issues in her six months as a council member.

Suhr tells KNIA/KRLS News the city still has needs for housing and repairs to the city’s infrastructure. Suhr says the city has started to make improvements by addressing those needs and it is exciting to see, but the city still has needs that she would like to address as a member of the city council. Suhr says deciding to run for reelection was a difficult decision but she wants to serve the people of Knoxville and she says she is excited about the direction the city is headed. Suhr says she thinks the community will continue to grow and she is excited to serve the people who want to make that happen. She says she wants Knoxville to be a great place for residents to live, work and play.
