It will be a Tulip City Takeover in Cedar Falls as the Pella and Pella Christian football teams both advanced to the UNI Dome, and the Pella Volleyball will return to state this week.

The three-time defending champion Pella Dutch defeated DCG 35-18 to clinch their fourth consecutive final four appearance in class 3A. Pella plays this Thursday at 5:30 against Harlan.

Pella Christian qualified for their first ever trip to the dome after winning against Pleasantville 44-6, and the Eagles will face Iowa City Regina on Saturday at 10 a.m.

State tournament volleyball will hit the airwaves this week as the Pella Volleyball team plays in Cedar Rapids for the third straight season. The Lady Dutch play in a rematch from last year’s championship game against Dubuque Wahlert, with opening serve at 6 p.m.
