The 12th annual Knoxville Hospital and Clinics (KHC) Foundation Gala was held Saturday, at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum.
Funds raised from the event will go towards the purchase of new equipment for the ear, nose, and throat services at KHC. The evening included a 1970’s theme with votes cast throughout the evening for best dressed 70s attire and 2017 attire. Chief Clinical Officer MaryJane Hunt and Norb and Nancy Greiner were voted best dressed 70’s and Foundation Coordinator, Katrina Nelson, was voted best dressed 2017. Entertainment this year was provided by the trio, Thistle and Lace. Twelve years ago, the Foundation began the tradition of honoring individuals in the Knoxville community with the McKeever Award of Excellence in honor of longtime physician, Dr. Earl McKeever. The recipient of the award is honored for exhibiting acts of excellence through their dedication and commitment. This year Steve and Tresa Mott were awarded the McKeever Award of Excellence. Together the husband and wife duo donate countless hours of volunteerism to hospital, city, school, and church functions.
