
Vietnam veterans and their families filled the Knoxville Performing Arts Center Wednesday evening as a special ceremony was held to recognize their service to the country.
Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch began the evening by proclaiming the day Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day.
Post Commander for Baty Tucker Post 168 of the American Legion Curt Froyen began the event began by recognizing the Knoxville service members who never returned home from Vietnam.
The veterans were honored with a Vietnam lapel pin, as well as certificate of recognition and a letter signed by Governor Kim Reynolds. Congressman Dave Loebsack’s District Representative Brianna Dennison was also in attendance.
