Veterans were honored at presentations in Pella Friday morning at local schools.

Jefferson Intermediate held their annual celebration of all who have served with a program that included students singing, reading essays and learning how to fold the flag from American Legion Post 89.

The Quilted Windmill and the staff and students of Jefferson also presented a special quilt to the Tschetter family, as both parents serve in the military.

Earlier in the morning, Pella Christian High School hosted a Veterans Day Chapel, which included Pastor Brad Bierma and Mr. Jason Clendenden speaking to students.
