The Pella Community Food Shelf is thankful for all of those who have or will contribute to area food drives during the holiday season.

Executive Director Melissa Zula tells KNIA/KRLS News they serve upwards of 150 families per week in the Pella area and with a mobile food pantry in southeast Marion County. She’s hopeful the community will support those in need by contributing to the KNIA/KRLS Holiday Food Drive over the next month.

Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS to hear where the Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio will be to collect food in Marion County and the surrounding area. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio is next coming to the Tour of Stores in downtown Pella on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
