The Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance is hosting the kick-off to the holiday season in Pella today with the annual De Kerstdagen Tour of Stores.

PACE Alliance Executive Director Karen Eischen tells KNIA/KRLS News that activities begin downtown at 5 p.m., and include carolers, carriage rides, and extended shopping hours at local retailers. The annual tree lighting ceremony, including performances of Christmas music from Pella and Pella Christian school choirs, begins at 6 p.m. on the Tulip Toren.

The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be broadcasting from the Pella Tour of Stores, as well as collecting food for the annual KNIA/KRLS Holiday Food Drive, and KNIA/KRLS is broadcasting select holiday music today to celebrate the occasion.
