The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday.

They held a public hearing for the city’s proposal to enter into loan agreements to borrow $3,935,000. The council approved entering into the loan which will pay for the cost of constructing street, sanitary sewer, water systems, storm water drainage and sidewalk improvements as well as constructing runway and hangar improvements at the airport. The loan will also be used for equipping and improving existing municipal parks, including the installation of signage, lighting improvements, playground equipment and construction of parking, splash pad, park shelter, skate park, landscaping and drainage improvements. They approved two plats of survey for two additional lots to Knoxville Estates. The council also approved the 2017 Urban Renewal Report as well as a the 2017 TIF Certification.
