After graduating a large and talented class that brought the Mustangs to the state tournament, but PCM Mustang girls basketball program was going to have to go through a transitional period as the new varsity players were integrated into the program.

The Mustangs are 1-1 on the season, having taken down Newton and falling to Knoxville, and have scored 55 points in both of the contests. PCM Head Coach Jeff Lindsay told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that if you had told him that the squad would have put up that many points in their first two games, he might not have believed it. The Mustangs are taking a week off before starting Heart of Iowa Conference play hosting Saydel next Friday.
