Sinterklaas is coming to town in one week.

Pella Historical Society Executive Director Valerie Van Kooten tells KNIA/KRLS News they are hosting a weekend filled with activities to celebrate the season. She says they moved the Sinterklaas celebration to the first weekend in December to better coincide with the celebration in the Netherlands. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2nd, with children dressed as their favorite holiday character or present encouraged to line up at the Scholte Church at 9:45 to be part of the celebration.

A meet and greet with Sinterklaas follows a presentation on the Tulip Toren.
