The annual fundraising campaign for the Marion County United Way has begun with a goal of raising $100,000 this year.

Board Member Peg Micetich tells KNIA/KRLS News if resident have ever wondered where they can send their money to make a difference, the Marion County United Way is a wonderful option. Micetich says the group pools together the money raised and helps make a difference for the 20-25 groups and agencies that apply for funding. She says the United Way is a great tool that she feels is not utilized enough. The organization donates to a wide range of causes around the county including Boy Scouts of America, hospice groups, schools and senior centers. Every dollar given to the United Way is tax deductible with all money raised going to nonprofit organizations. To donate to the Marion County United Way send funds to P.O.
