Indianola will ring in the holiday season tomorrow with the annual Holiday Extravaganza.

The extravaganza will begin at 5 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. on the downtown square. Different holiday festivities will take place during the event including a Festival of Trees which is new to the event and allows participants to vote for their favorite decorated trees, all of which are placed in businesses around the square. Trophies will be awarded for the people’s choice, most creative, and best theme. At 6:30 p.m. the Lighting of the Trees will take place on the Northeast corner of the square and will feature a performance by the Indianola High School Acapella Choir. Brenda Easter with the Indianola Chamber of Commerce tells KNIA/KRLS News there are plenty of activities for everyone and the night will conclude with the Lighted Parade which Easter says is unique with over 50 participants take part. A Santa House as well as Movie Character Pavilion will also be featured which allows attendees to take pictures with Santa as well as with some of their favorite movie characters.
