After their big win over Nevada to open the season on Tuesday, the Knoxville Wrestling Squad will head to Newton tomorrow for their first big tournament of the season. Coach Doug Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS early season is a learning experience for many of his guys on what they can do. He says while that will take few matches to get into a rhythm, he says the goal for the season is the same as always, win the conference and get into the regional duals. The Newton Invitational is an unusual round robin type format. Hatch says it is an unusual format, but give his guys a chance to wrestle against larger schools.
