A Knoxville man was sentenced to 6 years in prison Thursday after he pled guilty to felon in possession of a firearm, a class D felony, operating while intoxicated second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and eluding, a serious misdemeanor.
33-year-old Jeremy Manser was sentenced following his plea agreement in October for an arrest that took place in July in which Manser threatened people with a gun before fleeing the scene and hiding in a house in which he lived. According to court documents, Manser was sentenced to 6 years in prison as well as a requirement that he take part in a drinking drivers school as well as a substance abuse evaluation. Additionally, Manser will have his driver’s license suspended and be required to adhere to a no contact order that runs through 2022. Manser will also be required to provide a DNA sample and to pay additional fines and restitution which will be determined at a later date.
