The Simpson Storm women’s and men’s basketball teams will both play their second Iowa Conference game of the young season this afternoon on the road at Nebraska Wesleyan. The women got their conference slate off to a good start, as the Storm recovered from a halftime deficit and held the Beavers of Buena Vista to just 6 fourth quarter points for a 57-48 victory.

Noreen Morrow continues to climb her way in the Simpson record books, as in her senior season she is averaging 12.2 points per game. The men made a roaring comeback on Wednesday, but couldn’t pull out the victory over the reigning Iowa Conference regular season champion Beavers, and are taking some time to adjust to a new lineup. Sam Amsbaugh and Conor Riordan return from last year and are filling up the scoresheet averaging 21.2 and 18.5 points respectively, while the rest of the roster has a lot of new players.
