This Thursday, December 21st is the first official day of winter.

Last winter Marion County saw unseasonably warm temperatures and little precipitation. With the mild season last year, Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian tells KNIA/KRLS News drivers need to stay aware of the weather conditions and pay attention to KNIA/KRLS as weather conditions are updated. He says it doesn’t matter what road surface drivers are on, they all can be slick. Christian says motorists should also slow down and remain cautious when passing a snow plow.
