Those dreaming of a White Christmas this year may be out of luck, but before the holiday, conditions may become hazardous before giving way to bitter cold.
The National Weather Service predicts a chance of drizzle and freezing drizzle today, especially in the evening, with trace amounts of ice possible under .05” by the overnight hours.
Following the light precipitation, much drier conditions are in the forecast, all but eliminating the chance of snow on the ground for Christmas. On average, there is a 40-50% chance of a White Christmas annually.
Bitter cold air will drop in over the weekend, with wind chill values below zero possible in the overnight and morning hours. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
