Jason Carter, the son of Shirley Carter, who is accused of first degree murder in her shooting death was released on bond Thursday.
According to court documents, in order for Carter to be released, he had to post ten percent of the one million dollar cash or surety bond and have a GPS monitoring device attached to him. Carter is not allowed to travel outside the state of Iowa without court approval and was required to surrender his United States Passport prior to his release. Carter will be in court Friday for his preliminary hearing at 10 a.m.
