2017 was the 20th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity in Marion County.
During 2017, Habitat for Humanity hired a new director in Robin Pfalzgraf, a new Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator in Joel Verhoef., saw the completion of the 50th Habitat home built in Marion County and moved their first home in Pella. Director Robin Pfalzgraf tells KNIA/KRLS News Habitat for Humanity of Marion County has several options for 2018 following their first home move and she says they will also be doing more critical home repair projects. Habitat for Humanity is currently accepting applications for their moved home in Pella, with applications due by 5 p.m. on January 15th. Another home is also currently being built in Knoxville and Pfalzgraf says interested individuals can give their information now and once they are ready to receive those applications they will let the interested individuals know.
