A Pella man has claimed a $50,000 lottery prize.

David Vanryswyk claimed the 10th of 12 top prizes of $50,000 available in the Iowa Lottery’s “$50,000 Holiday Magic Crossword” scratch game.

Vanryswyk bought his winning ticket at Casey’s, 509 Main St. in Pella, and claimed his prize Friday at the lottery’s headquarters in Clive.
