Tuesday morning a Windstream line was partially cut in Knoxville causing some residences and businesses to lose service.

Crews were repairing a water main break on First Street between Babbitt Street and Douglas Street when the line was cut. According to Windstream there is no estimated time of when repairs to the line will be completed. As of 8:40 a.m. Wednesday morning crews were on scene working around the clock to restore service. Sources say Windstream could be down for several days as repairs are being made.

The Knoxville VA Outpatient clinic is OPEN but having computer and phone issues. If patients need to reach the clinic to cancel or reschedule an appointment please call the clinic administrator at 515-249-0551 or the Des Moines VA at 515-699-5999 and press zero for the operator. For all other needs, VA staff request patients fo please be patient until the phone lines are fixed or stop in. KNIA/KRLS has also been affected by the outage and currently only has two working phone lines.
