The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad, like the boys are in good position to not only have a hand in who wins the South Central Conference title this season, but their goal of winning the conference is still very much in play. The Panthers stand at 5-1 on the season with their only conference loss to Chariton. Like the boys, the Panther girls have both of the main conference contenders at home with Chariton arriving on January 20th and Eddyville three days later on the 23rd. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he and the team felt they let one get away at Chariton and feel confident they can play better the second time around. Knoxville begins the second trip through the South Central Conference January fifth at home against Albia.
