Pella Regional Health Center has placed limitations on visitors due to an increase in flu cases.

Pella Regional is asking the community to keep visitors under the age of 18 of the hospital facilities due to the widespread outbreak of the flu virus throughout the community. These restrictions are in effect until further notice. Adults who are experiencing a runny nose, sore throat, fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea or any other illness are also encouraged to not visit patients, however, anyone seeking treatment at the hospital is not subject to the restriction.

All visitors to Pella Regional Health Center should properly disinfect their hands by washing with soap and water or using sanitizing gel when entering and leaving the facilities in order to prevent the spread of the flu virus. Children may be allowed access to hospital areas in the event of special circumstances such as visiting a dying family member. In these instances, parents should work with the nursing staff to make arrangements.

Pella Regional Health Center will continue to evaluate the need for visitation restrictions on a weekly basis or more often as needed.
