The Marion County Board of Supervisors will hold their annual organizational meeting tomorrow.

The board will select the 2018 Board Chair and Vice-Chair and approve authorization to sign for official county business. They will set official meeting times as well as name the official county newspaper for public notices. The board will consider a depository resolution for 2018 authorizing maximum depository thresholds as well as consider the Farm to Market Resolution authorizing the Marion County Engineer to execute the certification of completion of work and final acceptance in accordance with plans and specifications in connection with all Farm-to-Market construction projects in Marion County. They will set official holidays for Marion County in 2018 as well as consider appointments for 2018. The board will approve supervisor assignments to various boards and commissions representing Marion County in 2018 as well as consider resolutions for the 2018 Marion County Employee Mileage Reimbursement Rate and Marion County Employee Health Insurance Premiums. The board will then enter into closed session to discuss the purchase of real estate. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held at the Marion County Courthouse.
