The Knoxville School Board will meet in both special and regular session tomorrow.

The board will first hold a special closed session to hold student reinstatement hearings. They will then hold a regular session and consider the 2018-2019 academic calendar. The board will review and consider tennis and basketball court bid documents. They will set a public hearing date to discuss the potential sale of East Elementary to the City of Knoxville. The board will consider the voluntary early retirement application of David Smith as well as review the mid-year financials. They will consider the Teachers On Call agreement and cost analyst which would potential save the district $22,571. Teachers on Call would form a partnership with the Knoxville Community School District, by providing services to meet the district’s substitute staffing needs and manage staff absences. The board will consider a financial planning work session in February as well as review mid-year reports on building goals. They will consider student early graduation requests from 13 Knoxville High School students as well as review policy recommendations. The special meeting will begin at 5 p.m. with the regular session to begin at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Knoxville School’s Administration Building.
