Pella Regional Health Center’s first baby of 2018 is a little girl.
Telia Lenyx, born at 7:50 am on Jan. 2, weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. Her parents are Jerry and Amber Van Brogen from Newton. Dr. Matt Morgan performed the C-section and Dr. Tereasa Van Zee was the delivering physician. While Telia is Pella Regional’s first baby in 2018, there were 530 babies delivered at Pella Regional Health Center in 2017. There were 284 boys and 246 girls. The heaviest baby was 11 pounds 10 ounces and the longest was 22.5 inches.
In August 2017, Pella Regional staff and physicians opened their new Family Birthing Center. Along with the new space on the third floor, Pella Regional also added 2 new family physicians who also practice obstetrics with Dr. Christopher Strong and Dr. Elizabeth Wooster.
