Restrictions on visitors at Pella Regional Health Center have been lifted.
Since December 30th, visitors under the age of 18 were not allowed due to a increase in the number of flu cases at the hospital. Those visitors are now allowed, according to Pella Regional, however, they are encouraging anyone with symptoms of fever, headache, tiredness, cough, sore throat, congestion, or body aches to avoid making visits. Pella Regional is accepting all patients for treatment for those symptoms, however, and were when the visiting restriction was put in place.
Influenza activity has been reportedly widespread throughout the state, and Pella Regional will continue to monitor the number of cases and prepare for another potential outbreak.
