Nominations are now being accepted for the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance IMPACT awards.

PACE Alliance Events Coordinator Sarah Treft tells KNIA/KRLS News that Pella has been fortunate to have an abundance of businesses, organizations and individuals that have impacted the community in a positive way.

Those nominated will be judged based on overall impact to the quality of life in Pella, collaboration or partnerships, innovative programs or events, products or marketing, entrepreneurial spirit, impact to the local economy, and longevity of impact on the community. The award categories this year include the Business Impact Award, Community Impact Award, and Spotlight Pella Award. Any business, individual, or organization serving or operating in the Pella area is eligible, but preference will be given to PACE Alliance members. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, January 26. Recipients will be recognized at the PACE Alliance Annual Membership Meeting on February 23rd.

AWARD CATEGORIES:
Business Impact Award: A business that has been a leader in their field through product development, marketing, advancements in their field, technologies, or employee program. Open to a business or organization.
Community Impact Award: Open to an individual, organization or business that is measurably improving the quality of life and the betterment of the Pella Community through volunteer efforts, community focused initiatives, education projects or other methods.

Spotlight Pella Award: Open to an individual or business who has brought a positive spotlight on Pella through their marketing, programs, event, products or innovation through regional, state or national recognition. Through their actions others know of the Pella Community.
